The ICCD is an Islamic center & Mosque open to anyone, not merely a mosque for worship. The ICCD Islamic Center is dedicated to upholding an Islamic identity.
Establishing and sustaining a strong Muslim community, and advancing an all-encompassing Islamic lifestyle based on the Holy Quran and the Prophet Muhammad’s Sunnah.
At the Islamic Community Center of Des Plaines, our youth are not just the future—they are an essential part of our present. Their energy, curiosity, and passion bring life to our masjid and shape the direction of our community in meaningful ways. Investing in our youth is one of the most important responsibilities we carry, because through them, we build a stronger, more vibrant, and more resilient ICCD.
Our youth bring fresh ideas, creativity, and a willingness to serve. Whether they are volunteering at events, participating in sports and educational programs, or simply spending time in the masjid, they help create an atmosphere of growth and unity. Their presence reminds us that the masjid is not only a place of worship, but a home where young people can learn, connect, and develop a strong Islamic identity.
By providing opportunities for leadership, mentorship, education, and community service, ICCD empowers young Muslims to discover their strengths and contribute with confidence. When youth feel valued and supported, they become active participants in building a community rooted in faith, compassion, and excellence.
Our commitment to youth is a commitment to the future of ICCD. As we nurture them, we nurture the next generation of leaders, teachers, volunteers, and visionaries who will carry our mission forward. Their role is not secondary—it is central to who we are and who we aspire to be.
