ICCD is honored to provide comprehensive funeral services for our community, guided by Islamic principles and delivered with compassion, professionalism, and respect. In coordination with licensed Muslim funeral providers, we assist families during their most difficult moments—ensuring that every step reflects the dignity of the deceased and the mercy of our faith.
Services We Provide
Our funeral support includes:
Immediate Response
- Pickup of the deceased from home, hospital, nursing facility, or medical examiner’s office
- Coordination with licensed Muslim funeral professionals
Islamic Preparation
- Ghusl (ritual washing) and Kafan (shrouding) performed by trained Muslims
- Gender-sensitive handling: female deceased are prepared by female volunteers
- Provision of Kafan materials and casket
Janazah & Burial
- Salat al-Janazah (funeral prayer) led by ICCD’s Imam
- Transportation of the body to ICCD and then to the cemetery of choice
- Burial rites and graveside duaa led by ICCD clergy
Family Support
- Hosting of Majlis/Aza’ (condolence gatherings) at ICCD
- Assistance with death certificates and legal paperwork
- Guidance on Islamic inheritance, wasiyah (bequest), and planned giving
- Emotional and spiritual counseling as needed
