🌟 A Sacred Union
Marriage is a blessed covenant in Islam—built on love, mercy, and mutual respect. ICCD is honored to facilitate the Nikah ceremony for couples who have chosen to unite in accordance with Islamic principles and U.S. civil law.
🛠 What We Provide
Our Nikah services include:
Scheduling & Coordination
- Nikah can be arranged within 72 hours of submitting a valid U.S. marriage license.
- Please text (773) 961-4658 to schedule your ceremony.
Required Documentation
- A copy of the official marriage license from any U.S. city must be submitted to ICCD prior to the ceremony.
- ICCD will retain a copy for its records and mail the signed original to the city for registration.
Islamic Requirements
- Two Muslim witnesses for the groom
- A guardian (wali) for the bride—ideally her father. If unavailable, ICCD’s Imam will guide the couple in selecting a suitable alternative in accordance with Islamic law.
- Written mahr (sadaq) agreed upon by both parties and recorded on the marriage certificate.
Nikah Ceremony
- Performed by ICCD’s Imam or designated clergy
- Includes signing of ICCD’s official marriage certificate by the bride, groom, wali, and witnesses
- Copies of the certificate are provided to both spouses; ICCD retains one for its records
