💻 Technology Committee

Islamic Community Center of Des Plaines (ICCD)

🌟 Our Mission

The Technology Committee ensures that ICCD remains efficient, secure, and future-ready by leveraging digital tools and infrastructure to support our religious, educational, and operational goals. We believe that technology, when guided by Islamic values, can enhance our service to the community and strengthen our organizational integrity.

🛠 What We Do

Our committee is responsible for:

  • Infrastructure Management: Maintaining ICCD’s hardware, software, and networking systems—including internet, security cameras, and digital signage.
  • Digital Security: Safeguarding ICCD’s data, communications, and online platforms with best practices in cybersecurity.
  • Technology Planning: Evaluating current systems and recommending upgrades that align with ICCD’s strategic vision.
  • Support & Training: Assisting staff and volunteers with tech-related needs and offering guidance on digital tools.
  • Online Presence: Supporting ICCD’s website, livestreams, and digital communications to ensure accessibility and engagement.
  • Innovation & Integration: Exploring new solutions to improve operations, such as automated systems, cloud services, and smart facility tools.

💡 Why It Matters

In today’s world, technology is not a luxury—it’s a necessity. From livestreaming Jumu’ah khutbahs to managing school systems and donor platforms, digital tools help ICCD serve its community with excellence and transparency. The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Allah loves that when one of you undertakes a task, he perfects it.” (Al-Bayhaqi)

Our committee strives to embody this spirit of ihsan (excellence) through every system we build and support.
