At the Islamic Community Center of Des Plaines (ICCD), our mission goes beyond serving our Muslim community. We are deeply committed to fostering understanding, compassion, and unity through meaningful dawah, interfaith outreach, and social service initiatives.

🀝 Outreach & Interfaith Engagement

ICCD welcomes individuals of all backgrounds to explore and learn about Islam through respectful dialogue and shared experiences. Our outreach efforts include:

  • Presentations on the core beliefs and practices of Islam
  • Guided tours of our Masjid for guests of other faiths
  • Educational visits to schools, universities, and religious institutions

❀️ Social Service Programs

Grounded in the Islamic principles of mercy and service, ICCD’s social programs aim to uplift and support those in need:

  • Clothing drives for refugees, the poor, and the homeless
  • Food pantry collections to assist vulnerable families
  • Charitable support for individuals facing hardship
  • Volunteer participation in local soup kitchens
  • Engagement in civic events and statewide service initiatives
  • Free medical screenings by licensed professionals for conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, glaucoma, anemia, and more

πŸ“ Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for financial assistance, applicants must currently reside in one of the following cities:
Des Plaines, Glenview, Morton Grove, Mount Prospect, Niles, Park Ridge, Prospect Heights, or Wheeling.
Residents outside these areas are kindly advised to seek support from their local Masjid.

  • Incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • Submission of this form does not guarantee approval for Zakat or Sadaqa assistance.
  • All applications are subject to review and final decision by the Islamic Community Center of Des Plaines (ICCD).
  • ICCD may request supporting documentation to verify eligibility. Failure to provide requested documents may result in denial of assistance.
