Our Sacred Duty

The ICCD Funeral Committee is entrusted with one of the most solemn responsibilities in our community: ensuring that every Muslim is laid to rest with dignity, care, and in accordance with the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah. We serve families during their most difficult moments, offering guidance, logistical support, and spiritual comfort as they navigate the loss of a loved one.

🕊 Services We Provide

• Immediate Support & Coordination
  We assist families with the necessary arrangements following a death, including contacting funeral homes, coordinating with cemeteries, and guiding them through the burial process.

• Islamic Burial Preparation
  Our trained volunteers help facilitate ghusl (ritual washing), kafan (shrouding), and janazah prayer in accordance with Islamic tradition.

• Logistical Assistance
  We help manage transportation, scheduling, and cemetery documentation to ensure a smooth and respectful process.

• Spiritual Guidance & Counseling
  We offer emotional and spiritual support to grieving families, including access to pastoral care and grief resources.

• Community Notification
  We respectfully inform the community of a member’s passing and share details about janazah services and burial arrangements.

We encourage families to prepare for end-of-life matters with foresight and faith. The Funeral Committee can assist with:

• Islamic will and burial directive resources
• Educational workshops on Islamic funeral rites
