Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

It is with deep gratitude and humility that I greet you as the President of the Islamic Community Center of Des Plaines (ICCD). Our masjid is more than a building—it is a sanctuary of faith, a hub of learning, and a home for every soul seeking connection with Allah and with one another.

Since its founding in 1989, ICCD has stood as a beacon of Islamic values, community service, and spiritual growth. Today, we continue that legacy with renewed purpose and unity. Our mission is rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah, and our vision is shaped by the evolving needs of our diverse and dynamic community.

ICCD plays a vital role in the lives of our members:

• It offers a place to worship, reflect, and renew our faith.
• It provides educational programs that nurture minds and hearts—from our youth to our elders.
• It supports families through social services, outreach, and compassionate care.
• It fosters civic engagement, interfaith dialogue, and ethical leadership.
• And most importantly, it brings us together—across cultures, generations, and backgrounds—as one ummah.

As your President, I am committed to transparency, principled governance, and strategic growth. With the help of our dedicated committees, volunteers, and board members, we are expanding our facilities, strengthening our programs, and building partnerships that reflect the excellence of our deen.

But ICCD is not just led by a board—it is powered by you. Your prayers, your participation, and your support are the lifeblood of this institution. I invite you to stay engaged, share your ideas, and help us build a future that honors our faith and serves our neighbors.
