ICCD Community Advisory

Serious Fraudulent Actions Reported During the Last 10 Days of Ramadan

Dear ICCD Community Members,

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.

As we enter the most blessed nights of Ramadan, nights in which every believer seeks peace, forgiveness, and closeness to Allah, it is with deep sadness that we must inform our community of extremely serious and escalating fraudulent actions committed by few individuals lead by the former ICCD secretary, Mr. “Fareed” Faiyaz Hassan.

Over the past months, and especially in these last ten sacred days, their behavior has reached a level that no responsible community can ignore.

1. Filing Illegal Documents at the Secretary of State Office

In the final days of Ramadan, Mr. Fareed submitted unauthorized and fraudulent documents to the Illinois Secretary of State “simillar to the one Junaid and Raziuddin filed 2 years ago and highjacked the Chase bank account”, attempting to:

  • Illegally appoint a “new president” of ICCD
  • Add Mr. Fazal Mahmood as a board member without any election, community vote, or legal authority
  • Add other members without their consent.

These actions are invalid, unlawful, and a direct violation of ICCD bylaws. They are also a clear attempt to mislead government offices and confuse the community.

2. Previous Attempt to Hijack ICCD Bank Accounts

This latest episode follows their earlier failed attempts to seize control of ICCD’s bank accounts, an action that was immediately rejected by the financial institution due to lack of authority and fabricated documents.

3. Filing a Lawsuit Against ICCD During Ramadan

In the first 10 days of Ramadan, instead of focusing on worship and unity, Mr. Fareed along with few individuals filed a lawsuit against their own Masjid.

On the very first court date:

  • His attorney was removed by the judge, “disqualified”
  • He then hired a new attorney—possibly using funds he may have wrongfully accessed, including grant money belonging to the Masjid.

This behavior is deeply troubling and continues to drain community resources and attention during the holiest month of the year.

4. Living on Masjid Property Without Paying Rent

Despite living on ICCD property for an extended period, Mr. Fareed has accumulated over $31,000 in unpaid rent owed to the Masjid. This is money that belongs to the community, to the House of Allah, and to the programs that serve our families.

5. Tuition Fraud

Children of Mr. Raziuddin and Mr. Junaid attended ICCD’s Hifz School since July 2023 with no record of tuition payments.

6. Appointing Mr. Raziuddin as “President”

In an unbelievable new twist, Mr. Fareed has now “appointed” Mr. Raziuddin Mohammed—the same individual who once fired him, and whom he himself called the police on him and removed him from the board two years ago—as his so‑called “president.”

This is not governance.
This is not leadership.
This is chaos, contradiction, and deception.

  • Fazal called the police on “Fareed” for theft
  • Fareed called the police on Raziuddin for exposing him
  • Raziuddin, Fazal, and Junaid fired Fareed for theft
  • Fareed terminated Raziuddin
  • Fareed terminated Junaid..
  • Fareed terminated Fazal..

The results today..

  • Fazal became a board member by Fareed without election..
  • Junaid became Fareed Vice President
  • Raziuddin became Fareed president..
  • Then Fareed, Raziuddin, Junaid, and Fazal filed a lawsuit against the ICCD

Can you imagine those individuals managing the ICCD in the future?

7. What Might Come Next

Given the pattern of their behavior, it is reasonable to expect further attempts to:

  • Hijack ICCD’s current bank accounts
  • Enter Masjid offices without authorization
  • Physically attempt to take control of ICCD property
  • Keep spreading false news and creating fitnah

The community should be aware, alert, and united.

8. Meanwhile, ICCD’s Current Management Is Working Responsibly and Transparently

While these fraudulent actions continue, the current ICCD management team has been working diligently and responsibly:

  • Forming committees for Ramadan operations and community services
  • Drafting and replacing the outdated 2009 bylaws
  • Preparing for a proper, transparent, community‑wide election after Ramadan, once the new bylaws are endorsed by the membership

This is the only lawful, ethical, and community‑approved path forward.

ICCD’s Position

ICCD leadership is taking all necessary legal and security measures to protect:

  • The Masjid
  • Its finances
  • Its property
  • Its community members
  • Its reputation

We remain fully operational, financially stable, and committed to transparency.

A Call for Unity and Du’a

At a time when Muslims around the world are seeking Laylatul Qadr, increasing their prayers, and asking Allah for mercy, it is heartbreaking to witness such harmful actions directed at a House of Allah.

We ask every member of our community to make du’a:

May Allah protect ICCD from those who seek harm,
Expose falsehood,
May Allah Strengthen truth,
And safeguard our Masjid in these blessed nights.
Ameen.

With respect and sincerity,
ICCD Leadership
