Legal Action Filed Against ICCD During Ramadan

Important ICCD Community Announcement:

Dear ICCD Community Members,

We pray that you and your families are in good health and strong faith as we are in the blessed month of Ramadan.

We must inform you of a serious legal development affecting our Masjid. A lawsuit has been filed against ICCD by the same individuals who previously:

  • Caused the freeze of ICCD’s Chase bank account, and
  • Attempted to hijack additional ICCD bank accounts at other financial institutions.

The individuals involved in this new legal action are:

  • Raziuddin Mohammed
  • Fazal Mahmoud
  • Faiyaz Fareed Hassan
  • Muqeet Junaid Abdul

In their filing, they are asking the court to:

  • Appoint a custodian (maybe non-Muslim) to take over the operations of the Masjid, and
  • Place a hold on all remaining active ICCD bank accounts.
  • Place a hold on the election process.

A Disturbing Action During the Holiest Time of the Year

It is deeply unfortunate that these individuals chose to file this lawsuit in Ramadan, a month dedicated to peace, worship, unity, and spiritual reflection. At a time when our community should be preparing for prayer, fasting, and togetherness, this action brings unnecessary disturbance and attempts to disrupt the tranquility of the blessed month. It is truly shameful that such divisive behavior is being carried out during a time when Muslims worldwide strive for mercy, forgiveness, and harmony.

ICCD Is Moving Forward With Elections After Ramadan

This lawsuit also comes at a time when ICCD leadership is in the final stages of preparing to announce the post‑Ramadan election, which will take place as soon as the new bylaws are endorsed by the membership. This process is designed to ensure transparency, community participation, and a stable transition to the next elected administration.

Despite these constructive efforts, the repeated actions of these individuals continue to harm the community and undermine the unity we are working hard to preserve.

Accountability for Harmful and Fraudulent Actions

ICCD leadership is responding through the proper legal channels to protect the Masjid, its operations, and its financial stability. The community should be aware that fraudulent, harmful, and destabilizing actions—including attempts to seize bank accounts, disrupt governance, or create chaos—are serious violations of trust.

Those who repeatedly harm the community must be held accountable. ICCD will pursue all appropriate steps to ensure that individuals engaging in such conduct are prevented from further involvement in ICCD affairs and face the consequences of their actions.

Reassurance to the Community

ICCD remains:

  • Financially stable,
  • Operational,
  • Legally represented, and
  • Committed to full transparency.

All donations—past, present, and future—remain protected and used solely for their intended purposes.

We ask our community to remain united, patient, and confident as ICCD navigates this challenge. Our Masjid belongs to its members, not a group of individuals, and together we will ensure that it remains strong, safe, and governed with integrity.

May Allah protect our community, guide our leadership, and keep our Masjid a place of peace and unity during this blessed month and beyond.

Warm regards,
ICCD Leadership
